In December 2006, DEQI members attended the EU China Seminar on Copyright Enforcement in Beijing. The conference is part of a European funded project aimed at building the foundation of CMS in China through exchange of European best practices and furthering the development of royalty collections and distributions in China. The conference focused on copyright enforcement and identification of digital management platforms to ensure effective collection and distribution of royalties in the globalized era. The conference also presented the early findings of the EU? China Trade Project¡¯s comparative study on CMS¡¯s in Europe and China.
